Millions of student loan accounts exposed in data breach
Tech Radar: Over 2.5 million loanees were notified by EdFinancial and the Oklahoma Student Loan Authority (OSLA) that their personal information was exposed in a data breach. The investigation determined that home addresses, social security numbers and email addresses were stolen. With national news of student loan forgiveness, it is expected that scammers will leverage the personal information in phishing campaigns in the near future.
