CSA Guidance Addresses Security, Privacy Risks of AI in Healthcare
Health IT Security: Guidance was released by the Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) outlining the pros and cons associated with AI in healthcare. The report highlighted the need to proactively address the risks of security and privacy risks when implementing AI technologies. While AI has helped tremendously in areas such as cancer detection and processing large amounts of data, insurance companies may use this information to charge higher premiums or not insure a person based on their health history. Healthcare organizations have the responsibility to assess risk and keep consumer information safe.

End Users Remain Organizations’ Biggest Security Risk

Some bad and good news from Dark Reading’s 2021 Strategic Security Survey. Results from the survey were a mixed bag. For example, while the % of respondents who felt that the biggest risk of users breaking policy fell, it’s unclear where the increased confidence came from since more respondents reported ineffective end-user security awareness. But what’s clear is that most respondents still believe that end users will be the likely cause of a future breach.
