KP Snacks giant hit by Conti ransomware, deliveries disrupted
Bleeping Computer: A popular British snack producer, KP Snacks, has been attacked by the Conti ransomware group. Their internal network was breached and Conti gained access to employee records, financial documents, birth certificates and credit card statements. Conti is giving the company 5 days before leaking more sensitive information and it is unclear if a ransom has been demanded.
DHS Sounds Alarm on Potential for Major Russian Cyberattacks on US
Dark Reading: The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is warning state and local governments about the possible risk of Russia striking the US with cyberattacks in retaliation for a possible US response to a potential Russian invasion of Ukraine. The DHS intelligence bulletin said that Russia could attack critical infrastructure or denial-of-service attacks. This warning comes as President Biden has ordered 8,500 US troops for possible deployment to Eastern Europe as tensions rise at Russia’s border with Ukraine.
