Only 4% of Security and IT Leaders Believe All of Their Cloud Data is Sufficiently Secured

Dark Reading:  Scary stats from BigID’s Cloud Data Security Research Report. After surveying over 1,500 IT and security professionals, companies consider cloud data security a top 3 concern when protecting data. Only 4% of organizations believe that their cloud data is adequately secured and 62% of companies suspect they will likely experience a cloud data breach in the next year.  

New York fines EyeMed $4.5 million for 2020 email hack, data breach

SC Media: New York state has fined EyeMed Vision Care $4.5 million for multiple security violations that caused data exposure to over 2.1 million customers. New York’s Department of Financial Services launched an investigation into EyeMed back in 2020 after a phishing attack caused millions of members’ personal information to be compromised.
